KENNY LALLY, a Candian Champion for today:  Brian Zelley

Back to happenings in 2011:

Follow-up to: "Kenny Lally Boxing Story"
This was done to give a general overview of Kenny's journey
It begins in the year 2000 with the formation of the
Inner City Boxing club and the first big important tournament
being the 2004 BC Silver Gloves.  It then covers more shows
leading to the 2007 Canada Games and then into National
tournaments and now the story continues.

Introduction:
the following link is just a brief look at how Prince George boxer
is preparing for the potential call for Olympic glory in London.
Kenny like many members of Canada's A-Team are preparing
for a tournament in South America that will be the last door to
enter to reach the starting gate of the London Olympics.

There are no sure bets, but training and preparation is mandatory.
In the article Lally talks about his recent improvements in footwork
and balance.  For any student of boxing, balance and footwork
are key requirements for effective punching and effective defense.
And for effective punching, BALANCE is the first word in the
art of EFFECTIVE BALANCE:  the B.LA.S.T. plan:
BALANCE, LEVERAGE, ACCURACY, SPEED, TIMING.

MOVING FORWARD TO THE TARGET: "Operation London"
*As the next couple of months fade away, Canada and the world
will know the results of the final Olympic qualifier for the
men's senior open A-Team. Ken's regular coach Bob Pegues
is not expected to be part of the training program in the next
couple of months while Kenny is involved with the A-Team
and others engaged in training camps and tournaments.
